Billing for Secure Source Manager starts on June 1, 2025. Please review your Secure Source Manager instances to determine next steps. 

• If you decide to continue an instance, no action is required. 
• If you would like to avoid charges, please decommission your instance by May 31, 2025. To find your instances, use `gcloud beta source-manager instances list` and refer to the gcloud command line documentation for arguments and other commands.

Each instance will be billed at $1000 per month, regardless of users per instance. Your bills for the month of June will reflect this change. Please see the details below on how this will change when licensed user pricing rolls out. 

New instances deployed after June 1, 2025 will be billed at the end of each month they are in service. Instances deployed for partial months will have their monthly charge prorated.

In the second half of 2025, Secure Source Manager will implement a per-user license price. Existing Secure Source Manager users will be notified before we roll out user licensing. 

The price per license will be $10/month. Each instance requires a minimum of 100 user licenses to be purchased and assigned to it, for a total price of $1000 per instance per month. If you have an instance that has more than 100 users, this means you will be charged an additional $10 per user per month for every user above 100 users per instance.

This example shows how pricing will work after we roll out user licensing. Until that time, ignore the per-user pricing of $120 from this example.

You have one instance with 112 users, and a second instance with 5 users. 

The first instance is billed at $1000. The $1000 includes 100 users. You have 12 users over the included 100 users per instance, for an additional $10 per user or $120. 

Your total bill for the first instance is $1120 per month.

The second instance with 5 users is billed at $1000 per month. 

Your total bill for the two instances is $2120 per month.
